Before we get into how to become a millionaire, lets first discuss why people want to become millionaires. I think, simply put, people like nice things, people like control, and a small percentage of people want to help the people around them. When they say do something you love to make money or solve a problem people haven’t solved yet to become a millionaire, is it not fueled by wanting to make money themselves? Elon Musk or Bill Gates, they are great, great innovations for society, good cause for the existence of their products or philanthropy. But if we said, “Elon great, save the environment by using electric vehicles, keep making them, but you can only make $50,000 a year salary, and everything else the company earns goes towards development, and no expensing your personal expenses on the company account. Like really live with $50,000 a year ONLY”. You think Elon will agree to that? No, they take a risk, and they deserve to be compensated for it. That’s fair.
So people like money, no surprises there. But what are the different ways you can make money. I’m no expert, I haven’t made a million dollars, this is just based on logic. So lets look at the steps.
- You can work your way up in salary to a highly paid individual – Pretty self explanatory, you work, and work, and work, either for a company that’s big and generates a lot of revenue, or you work to the point where you make the company generate massive revenues, you would most likely be given more and more responsibility, and that would leave to more income, and ta-da, you are a millionaire.
- You sell – Easy enough right? By sell I mean either you buy and sell something, so a business or you sell on behalf of someone, and you make commissions. For example, lets say you sell designer eyewear. Let’s say you start a business where you offer great value to your customers by providing these frames at amazing prices. You also carry over 100+, you create an easy-to-use site, plus, here is the real ticker, you ship worldwide for free, all orders, no joke. Oh, and you also offer lenses at a price like no other. You would think people would storm the site and buy their eyewear from those sellers right? Well not really so that’s why we aren’t millionaires yet, but maybe it will happen. Its happened to others.
There is probably a lot more ways to make a million dollars, but what I wanted to say was, find your own, it make work for some people, and it may not work for others. We just have to live with that, and I know I started by saying how money is nice and important, but honestly there is a lot more out there to live for than just material things. So live life happy.
